Just returned from Paris France (10/14/16) where she and Dr Lawrence from Barbados just got married.
She launched their newest company "French Creole International Fashion week in Paris France and her second book "Up from the Ashes"
Arthlene Lawrence is an award-winning International Celebrity Fashion Designer, proud mother of 3 children, Public Motivational Speaker, Instructor, Mentor, Published Author, Celebrity wardrobe stylist and Philanthropist. She is the founder and President of Restore to Empower Organization and Imagine me Models, two organizations that empowers youth to reach their full potential. She was born in the beautiful Island of Dominica West Indies, (Coulibistrie native) she is currently the CEO of LeGair Brand Company located in Atlanta, Georgia and Head designer/Instructor at The LeGair Brand Luxury Boutique/ Fashion & Sewing School. She earned a degree in Business Administration/Managemenr. She is widely noted for her Couture dress made up of over 700 peacock feathers valued at over $10,000.00, which was featured in African Vibes magazine, Sparks magazine in England and was presented in her collection at the African Vibes magazine fashion show in Los Angeles California in 2010 and Couture Fashion Week New York at the famous Waldorf Astoria Hotel. She is also a published Author, her book “Where my help comes from” is available at Amazon.com, and other locations in the USA and London. She is now working on her second and third book schedule to be released in the year 2015. Arthlene is gifted with the ability to encourage and empower other to step out and reach for their dreams no matter what circumstances are before them.
After less than a year of owning and operating The LeGair's House of Fashion Boutique in North Miami Beach, Florida, a dramatic life event relocated her and her children to Ohio. It was there that she received the impetus to further her education. She earned an Associate degree in Business Entrepreneurship at Columbus State College in September 2011 and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration/Management at The Columbia Southern University. Arthlene used the skills she learned there to build Legair Brand Fashion Legacy.
Arthlene is very dedicated to the welfare of young women, giving the fact it was her concern for her daughter that started her journey in the fashion industry . She spend her time sharing her story of being a survivor of domestic abuse and empowers women to reach for their dreams. Having first hand knowledge and the impact domectice violence can have on ones entire life, Legair has decide to add to her R2E program (Domestic Abuse Awareness) to also assist women and children who are victims of domestic violence, including verbal, emotional, economic, sexual and physical abuse with much needed training. She has been guest speaker at the Agnes Scott College for Truth in Chaos, The Still Standing Foundation Domestic Violence Awareness Event that honors survivors of Domestic Violence, Speaker at the Women retreat in Ohio 2014 and presenter at the 9th Annual Aqua Salon & Day spa – Support The Fight Against Breast Cancer. Restore to Empower is a nonprofit 501(C)3 Organization providing mentoring and educational programs for young adults, at-risk kids and high school dropout. Restore to Empower program, offer training & events in Fashion, Dance, Sewing, Art, Styling, Music,Writing, Image and GED. The program will form partnerships with local school districts, community leaders, parents and the juvenile court system. Restore to Empower goal is to foster a commitment to young people that will promote pro-social friendships, strong interpersonal skills, and reassert a sense of hope in the future.
Born on the Caribbean Island of Dominica, she immigrated to the United States in 1987. Her designs, which boast a mixture of Couture gowns, European styles and African textiles, were birthed out of her keen observations of the world around her. Completely self-taught, she was inspired by the staunch resolve of her mother who would sew their family’s clothes to save money. Growing up in a developing nation without access to the finer things in life, Legair cultivated a determination that money couldn’t buy. She would use it to propel her toward success in the fashion industry years later. Presenter at the Blendon Middle School in Ohio and volunteer Speech judge for the Georgia Academic Decathlon. Judge at Miss Georgia Latina and Miss Teen Georgia Latina Pageant.
She is a favorite designer of Hollywood actress Tangi Miller and gospel recording artists Lois Commodore and Deborah Hightower. Also favorite designer to Celebrity Actress Kari Wells a model from London England, Bravo TV’s Married to Medicine star and Tyler Perry “have and the have not's.
Atlanta Latino Fashion Week -”Humanitarian Of The Year Award" Awards Honoree: The Black Women In Jazz & The Arts Awards-2016 Youth Empowerment Through Music Award. Honoree for the 2015 “Heroine in Heels Award” She was awarded the Increase CDC Micro Entrepreneur Community Choice Award and Increase CDC Micro Entrepreneur Retail Award, Top Designer Title for Nellie’s Catwalk for Kids and the “I Am fashion” at Ohio State University. She was nominated as Best Fashion Designer in the Global Film Fashion Music Television Theater & Sports Awards 2013. She played a small role in the move “the best supporting daddy and her collection was also featured in the movie.

Arthlene will host the first Medical Mission and Empowerment High-Fashion and Music Black-Tie GalaFundraiser / in Atlanta Georgia at the luxury Hotel Atlanta Airport Marriott. December 13 2015. An event that raises money for my 501(C)3 Charity. The goal of this event is to increase awareness of the devastation tropical storm Erika left on our Island and ways the community can assist us in empowering our youth and contribution medical assistance to people in need. To highlight stories of survivors and to raise money to help fund several projects in Dominica. (Shipping cost for a 40 ft container stocked with medical supplied and equipment from MedShare for Dominica. The Uniform Project; providing qualified students from CGS with necessary school uniforms. Rebuilding and Stocking the village library, including stocking with 10 computers, books, furniture, and media center. Toy drive to provide toys to qualified children of Dominica, CGS
She is headlining the fashion segment for the 2nd Annual Taste of Speed™ Jet Port Experience sponsored by Audi and DuPont registry. Headliner Designer at The Atlanta Latino Fashion Week 2015 sponsored by Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Her work will also be featured in The Thriving Children Foundation Gale at the Fox Theater in Atlanta Ga. July 2015 Arthlene hosted a sewing work-shop in Los Angeles and volunteered to teach students how to make toy storage bags, which will be distributed to the Children at a hospital in The Commonwealth of Dominica.
Legair’s international background and knowledge of different styles have allowed her to run the gamut in fashion from formal, couture, ready to wear, prom to business attire for teens and adults. She will release her bridal collection in the fall of 2014
